The Latvian National Museum of Art takes part in an interesting and, for Latvia, unique project dedicated to the artists of the Borchert family. The artistic careers of the four Borchert generations span over a hundred years, as well as a number of different styles and movements, thus, the division of the exhibition into two parts: while the first part at the Minor Hall of the museum features the works of the older generation artists Bernhard Borchert and Eva Margarethe Borchert-Schweinfurth, the show at the House of the Blackheads is dedicated to the ”young Borcherts” (i.e. those born in the 20th century).
